International Day of Women The Invisible Woman

Yesterday was International Women's Day and I wrote anything about it because I was traveling, but also because sitting at this point to talk about a business day I think maybe a bit absurd. It was interesting to read news on multiple commemorations of the date, at the UN, UNESCO, small celebrations among academics and certain social groups, but I wonder what women really need a day we commemorate? I think a complete hypocrisy of all is limited to 08 March, the same man who tends to mislead or minimize daily to your girlfriend or wife was yesterday giving a greeting or sending letters to their girlfriends females.

is also a little depressing to see that the struggle for gender equality continues to be waged, but although they have gained ground, the road is uphill. Today, for example, I received a compliment from a man who was 4 days ago talking about her lover and who is known to maintain a certain aggressiveness with his life partner and I wondered this actually has the nerve to say anything about the day of women? Venezuela is what we would call a "cheeky."

Yesterday the Venezuelan deputies were giving speeches on the subject, but no one has addressed the government to put pressure to end the politics of silence in the case of birds. It is, in a double standard: the woman is pretty, beautiful, wonderful, one day a year, because the other 364 we trample ruthlessly on those days do not matter, because it marks nothing. More serious still is thinking in words the government can say anything, but in practice we have no real policies for women, I challenge any Venezuelans to talk to me at least efficient gender policy implemented by a ruling , I dare say that no one can tell me that in practice do not exist.
With this I get the following: I do not give flowers, do not congratulate me for one day, I prefer value over the year, as a woman because I know what I'm worth and what I am able to do, do not accept less than that, or I sit and consistent with the hypocrisy of one day a year to be forgotten for the rest of it.

As I said yesterday in my account on twitter: "Neither cachita or slave, or subordinate, or asshole, or delayed, or gross, or stupid, or needed, or breeding. Or jerkin, or insecure, or submissive, and accommodating, I'm not your mom but I'm not your worst nightmare ... not bitch to chunks, or to make me crazy blind nor deaf to yell at me or punching bag to be hit ... I AM WOMAN, period. " Today I would add that throughout the year, during the same time I want to be valued and respected.
